This wearable art collaboration connects French artist Fran6 (Francis Chouquet) with six-year-old Indonesian student Abi, who drew what makes him feel at home. In his drawing, bright houses, smiling faces, and a radiant sun come together — a child’s simple but powerful vision of belonging. Fran6, known for his graphic linework and typographic art, reimagined Abi’s joyful world into a bold, textured design that feels both playful and warm. Together they created wearable art that celebrates comfort, community, and the places — and people — that make us feel at home.
Fran6 is a graphic designer turned independent artist. He fell in love with lettering as a teenager when he sketched out the title of an Indiana Jones poster. From then on, his passion for letters and languages only accelerated. Nowadays, his work is strongly influenced by American lettering styles from the 40s and 70s. He also incorporates lots of elements of nature into his art. The result: pieces that convey a deep message through both visuals and words.
Fran6 about his collab
Inspiring the next generation of artists
Francis agrees that children’s creativity is inspiring. “I think they have the best creativity. It’s pure.” It should come as no surprise, then, that he has worked with children before. “I regularly do workshops in schools and I even developed a font with a school where each child designed a letter.”

Immersing himself in the child’s world
“I wanted to incorporate his drawing into the final illustration as best as I could, so I took the home he drew and tried to invent a world around it.” Francis goes on: “I am used to creating illustrations around nature and villages. So it was easy to work with Abi’s drawing. I also added some lettering to it so everybody understands what it is all about.”

Makes you feel like home
The children from the SDN 4 Batu Putih school in Lombok were given the theme of ‘Makes you feel like home’ when creating their drawings. With this theme in mind, Abi drew his house. It looks like his house is at the centre of what home means to him. Francis adds: “It makes me want to visit it. He must be proud of it.”

Doing Abi proud
After a collab filled with bold shapes and fun lettering, Francis reflects on what he has learned from this experience. “Working with a drawing a child did can be a challenge because you want the child to recognise his drawing in your work. So that was important to me, to stay as near as possible to what Abi wanted to share.”
