how we work

Every Face This T-shirt begins with a drawing.

But not just any drawing — one made by a child from a small Indonesian classroom, filled with imagination, laughter, and the kind of honesty adults often forget.

At Face This, we turn those drawings into wearable art collaborations — co-created designs between Indonesian schoolchildren and international artists who transform these sketches into works of art you can wear.

It’s art with purpose. Creativity with connection.

What Is a Wearable Art Collaboration?

A wearable art collaboration is more than a T-shirt. It’s a bridge between worlds — between the joyful imagination of a child and the refined craft of an artist. Each collaboration begins with a child’s drawing. Sometimes it’s a house, a bird, a surfboard, or a dream.

An artist on the other side of the world reinterprets it in their own style — street art, illustration, typography, digital collage — while preserving the emotion behind every line.

Together, they create something new: a design that carries the child’s story, the artist’s vision, and a message the world can wear. That’s what makes a wearable art collaboration unique: it’s not charity, it’s shared creation.

how we roll

We don’t give back — we co-create from day one.

Why We Do It

Face This began with a simple question: What happens when we let children inspire art instead of the other way around? Our founders visited small schools in Lombok and discovered classrooms filled with creativity — but lacking resources. The kids had stories, drawings, and dreams, but their work rarely left the village walls.

So we built a bridge.

Today, those same drawings travel the world — turning into T-shirts, sweaters, and tote bags that raise funds for their schools. Every sale helps finance new classrooms, libraries, solar panels, or art supplies. But more importantly, every collaboration helps us unlearn something. It reminds us that art isn’t about perfection — it’s about connection.

How It Works

The Impact

A T-shirt won’t change the world. But a T-shirt that changes how we see each other just might. Each collaboration funds real projects — from library renovations in Lombok to solar power for classrooms in Kalimantan. But beyond the infrastructure, there’s something deeper: recognition.

For the kids, seeing their drawings turned into wearable art means being seen, heard, and valued. For the artists, it’s a reminder of what art can do when it’s grounded in empathy.

From the beaches of Lombok to the forests of Kalimantan, every wearable art collaboration tells a story.

For some kids, like Novi, it’s about family; for others, like Devi, it’s about the place that makes them feel free.

This is how creativity becomes connection. And connection becomes change.
